It’s Been A While
“It’s been a while” is very common and sometimes a phrase I think about and perhaps even say too often. More than I’d like, anyway. Sometimes. I get caught up. That’s life. I try to do the things I love often, I try to make it a daily practice. It’s the ultimate self-care practice.
I was never one to trade my time or the love I have for life over money. I remember having a job like that, I lasted all of nine months. I went back to being an entrepreneur. Society has been barking their self-loafing systems at us for years. I always refused to be a part of that. As inflation is on the rise I am becoming more and more “A minimalist”. I truly believe that is what inflation is here to teach many of us.
There are certain things that are becoming a lot less in my life. I am trying my best to teach my children the same. I remember years ago and this is just one example, I’d go and spend a lot of money on manicures and pedicures. This was a weekly ritual. I traded that time and money on a couple new books and moments reading under the sun. A little oil and a nail file is like magic!
I’m a very busy Momma and always on the go. I learned to set boundaries with my children over the years, boundaries are important to me. Especially as they are getting older. It is the ultimate life lesson for everyone. They see me just sit and do what I love all the time. They learned very quickly to learn how to keep themselves busy at times, especially when Momma is treating herself to doing what she loves. Make no mistake, my children are my first priority and I love doing things with them and spending time with them. It’s important to teach them to value themselves too, and that is something that is taught.
If you are reading this here is your push to do the things you love. You know the moments in your life that bring you pure joy. The moments that break your mind free of the ordinary. It’s these moments that keep our spirit alive and free.
Until next time…
Love & Light, Always!

Life is too short. Make time for things that make you happy and people you love
