A Small Town Girl (Part 17)

We talked all night as if nothing has changed. Trust me, there were moments that I didn’t want to just talk. I had moments of envisioning him and I in situations that I can only fantasize about right now. I didn’t want him here when the children woke up. He left around 5am and I already knew I was going to be exhausted all day. It was worth it. And, it was nothing an extra cup or two of coffee wouldn’t fix. Thankfully, it is the end of our first school week and we can take it easy today. We don’t have any outside field trips and we just have a couple lesson plans that need to be completed for the week. I found out he lives across from the lake in a large home, too big for one. He had sold his property in New York and relocated after he found out where I was. I thought it was really creepy at first, but it is him. It’s not like he is a complete stranger that I had just met off the street. It was him and I, always. Two souls that knew each other for many, many lifetimes before. It’s as if we were never a part. I can feel it in my soul that not much has changed, even after all these years. It is he I have always wanted. I always wanted to be his wife, have children and grow old together. I remember seeing our life together as teenagers and a young adult. We talked about everything last night. Having more children had come up, which I am not sure about. I am settled here. I love my little cottage and my kids and I fit just right here. I have plans for my children and I. I told him I wasn’t sure where this was leading and I couldn’t give him any answers just yet. Only time will tell.

Slow and steady…slow and steady. I promised to take it slow.

1 YEAR LATER…

I was elegantly blind-folded as he led me to our suite over looking crystal clear waters and a private island made up for two. I smelled delicate lit candles and the soft scent of white roses filling our room with new beginnings. He took them off and I faced him. He was mine, finally. All mine. It wasn’t long before we were both entangled in the pleasure of becoming one. He knew all of my spots as he kissed me softly from my earlobes down to the nape of my neck as he slowly made his way down to my thighs. I was clinging to the bed post waiting for him to just take me all in. He slowly gripped his hands around my waste and slid me down further, it was all over at that point. My legs wrapped around him as if they were holding on to dear life. I knew in that moment he was mine, mine forever. His masculinity drew me in deeper. The sweet smell of his body and his soft breath on my neck brought me to a place of rediscovery. A place that I new all too well. We whispered our “I love you’s” and held each other. Being back in his arms in this way was a dream. “I never thought in a million years I’d be here right now with you”, I whispered. He held me tighter.

Our wedding was everything I wanted and more. Simple, elegant and pure. I decided to wear white and kept my dress very simple. The kids walked me down the isle, it was a trail of happiness leading us all to him. We invited our closest family and friends and had the reception in town at a beautiful catering hall on the lake. In just a few short days we would be moving into our forever home, his home and now ours. The week went by so fast in St. Lucia. Our honeymoon was perfect. It was just what we needed before we started our new life together.  A life that I could only have dreamt about. A life that was now becoming my reality. The absolute unexpected. It was time to head home.

Our flight was delayed but we made it home just in time where we had a couple days until the kids would be back. They were very excited. My sister took them so that we can enjoy a honeymoon and get the house ready for our new life. A very different life and one that will take time for us all to get used to. Everything was all set up. We made sure that we retuned before they did so we can get everything done before they arrived in their new home. The kids bedroom furniture was being delivered today as well as everything else. The amount of property was perfect for our chickens and I would now be able to extend the gardens. The back porch was overlooking the lake and the kids couldn’t wait to be able to go down to the creek and go fishing everyday. I was already making plans for the future of another child or two and we had plenty of space so that wouldn’t be an issue. We decided that we wanted to get on that sooner rather than later.

I had some time before the kids would be arriving. I poured a cup of coffee and went outside to sit in my rocking chair on the beautifully wrapped around porch of my new home, our home. I sat for a while just wondering and pondering as I looked around, taking it all in. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and felt a peace slide over me that I haven’t felt in a while. My future peace, the kind that you only feel when you are ready. All the worries and the “what if’s” had freely been gone. It was time to embrace change. I wondered how life is planned and how we all want to stick to that plan, however, there are certain things that go unplanned. My winding roads and the light at the end of the tunnel had now intertwined. That light is showing up for me and helping me understand life a bit better. I glanced over and there he was. Vishnu had found me. He had shown up in that moment to let me know that he is happy. He is overjoyed that he had found us. After all, this is what he wanted for us. He led him to us. He had a plan for us. He has been guiding me through this whole time, guiding me to him. The synchronicities and all the moments that had led us here. I looked up and said, “Thank you”. I love you forever, and always.

Until next time…

A Small Town Girl (Part 27)
